Fast and unlimited P2P file sharing
Ares is a great P2P client for file sharing. It supports the downloading of torrent files, includes a multimedia player, and best of all, is free.
Ares functions
Just like eMule, BitTorrent or uTorrent, Ares helps you download movies, music, programs, games, images and other files (provided they're not covered by copyright).
The application supports the download of Torrent files, letting you preview files before downloading. It includes a player to play media files (audio and video) in the shared folder, as well as letting you surf the web directly from the client.
With Ares, you can download a file from multiple sources, which improves the download speed. When it comes to speed, there is software out there that promises to speed up your Ares downloads, like Ares Galaxy SpeedUp or Turbo Booster, but we're skeptical about their effectiveness.
Intuitive and adapted to all
The interface of Ares is easy to use. With just one click, you can access all the client's main features (search, download, chat, settings, library and Internet browsing) from the main screen.
Take full advantage of the search engine, which allows you to filter content by type.
Download speed
Ares is suitable for those looking for file sharing software that's intuitive and uncomplicated. The waiting time for downloads to start is minimal, and the download speed is excellent.
On occasion (although pretty rarely), you might have trouble connecting, but using the Ares Fix tool will solve this quickly.

ive used this successfully for a while. All of a sudden when I want to share the audiobooks, it only gives me them in the Polish language (I'm English). The preferred language is obs set to English. Any ideas anyone please. More

Ares no longer free P2P .
Ares is no longer free. You either have to pay $10 per month or $30 for six months, otherwise you will just download ads. This just started a couple days ago. Considering that you can't download whatever music you want, whenever you want since, and that the music is often incorrectly labeled, because it's P2P, it should remain FREE. More

4 out of 5 dl's are ads for aresads.com which asks for money (scam?).
So far I have downloaded 15 songs(in two days) and I actually have 5 that are real songs and not the adware that directs you to ares ads.com in both English and Spanish,so imho ares is mostly useless unless you like wasting your time downloading and listening to the same ads over and over again
Pros:
I like the interface and ease of usage
Cons:
Those ads need to be removed from the share files More

Ares 2.1.2.3036.
This has been an incredible P2P for home use for over 2 years and going strong for mostly music but in the past year, many movies too.
Pros:
As long as you know what file you are looking for, for example, I make sure that the language is english and the format is .avi, and I typically look for the quality having at least 3 stars...I end up with exactly what I wa looking for. Great program for beginners and experts.
Cons:
I kind of wish it had suggestions...if I'm not 100% sure of what I was looking for, and in rare occassions, I've downloaded a movie that will redirect me to a site to purchase codecs to play it, which I end up deleting...so it would be nice if there was a section that would ensure I have the codecs to play it before the download begins.
